Prabhas celebrated his 47th birthday on October 23, 2026, and the occasion brought exciting updates for fans of the Telugu superstar. Known for his powerful screen presence and large-scale films, the actor continues to attract attention across Indian cinema and international markets.
This year’s birthday celebrations were particularly special because fans received fresh promotional material from two highly anticipated projects. Fauzi introduced a new look at Prabhas in a period action drama, while the team behind Kalki 2898 AD shared a video featuring his return as Bhairava in the science-fiction sequel.
Alongside these updates, audiences are waiting for Spirit, his first collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Salaar 2, the continuation of his action franchise. With several major projects in development, Prabhas has an exciting period ahead.
Prabhas Birthday 2026 Highlights
The actor’s birthday was celebrated by fans in India and abroad. Supporters gathered in Hyderabad and Bhimavaram, shared posters, organised celebrations, and posted tribute videos online. Fans in Japan also marked the occasion, reflecting the international following Prabhas has developed through films such as Baahubali and Salaar.
The biggest attraction, however, was the collection of film updates released around his birthday.
The Fauzi team unveiled promotional material introducing the film’s historical setting and Prabhas’ character. Meanwhile, the Kalki 2898 AD sequel team shared a special video showing the actor returning to the role of Bhairava.
These announcements gave fans a glimpse of two very different projects. One places Prabhas in a historical conflict, while the other returns him to a futuristic world filled with mythology, advanced technology, and larger-than-life characters.
Fauzi Gets a Major Birthday Update
One of the most important announcements surrounding Prabhas’ birthday came from Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, known for Sita Ramam.
The film is a period action drama with a historical backdrop. Its promotional material presents Prabhas in a military-inspired appearance, suggesting a character connected to resistance and conflict during British rule.
The birthday teaser introduced the film’s fictional world and offered a glimpse of Prabhas as a soldier and strategist. Rather than presenting a conventional action hero, the promotional material hints at a character whose identity and mission are closely connected to the historical setting.
Fauzi Release Date
The film was initially expected to arrive in December 2026, but the schedule changed. The makers have now announced a theatrical release date of March 19, 2027.
The cast includes Imanvi, making her acting debut, alongside experienced performers such as Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada, and Sajjad Delafrooz.
The combination of a period setting, action, espionage, and a large ensemble cast makes Fauzi an important project in Prabhas’ upcoming lineup. The film also gives him an opportunity to explore a different kind of historical character following his work in the Baahubali franchise.
Kalki 2898 AD Sequel Brings Back Bhairava
Another major birthday surprise came from the team behind Kalki 2898 AD. The makers shared a special video featuring Prabhas returning as Bhairava, the bounty hunter introduced in the 2024 science-fiction film.
The original movie combined futuristic technology with Indian mythology. Its story followed a dystopian society in which powerful authorities controlled resources while a group of people hoped for a different future.
Prabhas’ character became central to the story as the film revealed important connections between Bhairava and the larger mythological narrative.
The birthday video showed the actor back on set, preparing to reprise the role. Although it did not reveal the full story of the sequel, it confirmed that work on the next chapter is progressing.
What to Expect From Kalki 2898 AD Part 2
The sequel is expected to continue the story left unfinished in the first film. Prabhas will return alongside key cast members, including Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama and Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin.
The ending of the original film created several questions about Bhairava’s identity, the future of Sumathi, and the conflict surrounding the expected arrival of Kalki.
These unanswered questions provide the foundation for the next instalment. Viewers can expect the sequel to expand the fictional world while developing the relationships and conflicts introduced in the first movie.
However, an official theatrical release date has not been confirmed. For now, the birthday video serves as an important update for fans waiting for the next chapter.
Spirit Gets a New Release Schedule
Spirit is another major project generating interest among Prabhas fans. The film marks his first collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, whose previous works include Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal.
The upcoming film is described as an action-driven cop drama. Prabhas is expected to appear in a role that differs from the mythological, futuristic, and historical characters associated with several of his recent projects.
Triptii Dimri and Vivek Oberoi are also part of the cast. The collaboration has attracted attention because it brings together an actor known for large-scale action films and a director recognised for intense character-driven storytelling.
Spirit Release Date
The film’s schedule has changed from its earlier planned March 2027 release. The latest announced date is October 29, 2027, placing it in the Diwali release period.
The revised schedule gives the production additional time before its planned theatrical arrival. Fans are waiting for more information about the storyline, Prabhas’ character, and the film’s action sequences.
Because the project is still being developed, some details remain under wraps. Its final promotional campaign should provide a clearer picture of the film’s tone and central conflict.
Salaar 2 Remains on Fans’ Wishlist
Following the success of Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire, audiences are also waiting for the next chapter of the action franchise.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the series introduced a world shaped by political power, loyalty, friendship, and violent rivalries. Prabhas played Deva, a powerful character whose relationship with Varadha, portrayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, formed an important part of the story.
The first film ended with developments that left room for a continuation. Fans want to learn more about the characters, the changing balance of power, and the consequences of the decisions made in the first instalment.
Reports have indicated that preparations for Salaar 2 are moving forward, but a confirmed theatrical release date has not been announced.
Until the makers share an official schedule, viewers should treat specific release-window claims as provisional. Nevertheless, the sequel remains an important project for fans who want to see the story continue.
